Terms of Service

Last updated: July 13, 2026

Effective date: July 13, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of taxedfairly.com and the services provided by TaxedFairly, operated by WebLab LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services Provided

TaxedFairly provides:

  • Property tax assessment analysis — comparing your assessed value to comparable properties
  • Appeal document preparation — drafting formal appeal letters with supporting evidence
  • Appeal filing — submitting documents to your county assessor or review board on your behalf
  • Monitoring — annual review of your assessment for future appeal opportunities

We are not a law firm. We provide document preparation and filing assistance. We do not provide legal advice. If your appeal requires legal representation (e.g., at a tax court), we will advise you to consult an attorney.

2. Fee Structure

  • Contingency fee: Our fee is 20% of your first-year tax savings resulting from a successful appeal.
  • No upfront cost: You pay nothing to submit your property for analysis or to have us file an appeal.
  • No savings, no fee: If your appeal is unsuccessful or we determine you do not have a viable case, you owe nothing.
  • Payment timing: Fees are due within 30 days of receiving official confirmation of your tax reduction from the county.
  • Savings calculation: First-year savings is calculated as the difference between your original annual tax bill and your reduced annual tax bill after the appeal.

3. Your Authorization

By submitting your property information and signing the authorization form, you grant TaxedFairly permission to:

  • Access your property assessment records from public county databases
  • Obtain comparable sales data for properties near yours
  • Prepare and submit appeal documents to your county assessor or review board
  • Communicate with county officials regarding your appeal

You represent that you are the property owner (or authorized agent) for any property you submit.

4. Cancellation

  • You may cancel your authorization within 48 hours of signing at no cost.
  • After we have filed the appeal with your county, cancellation is not possible as the appeal is already in the public record.
  • If you cancel after filing, you remain responsible for the contingency fee if the appeal results in savings.

5. No Guarantee of Results

While we use professional methods and real comparable sales data, we cannot guarantee that any appeal will be successful. Appeal outcomes are determined by county assessors and review boards, which are independent government entities outside our control.

Our analysis indicates whether you likely have a viable case based on available data. This is not a guarantee of the outcome.

6. Risk of Value Increase

In most states, your assessed value cannot increase as a result of filing an appeal at the initial board level. However, some states allow review boards to raise assessments during the appeal process. We will inform you if your state carries this risk before filing.

7. Data and Accuracy

Our analysis is based on publicly available data from county assessor offices, comparable sales databases, and census records. While we strive for accuracy, data sources may contain errors or be outdated. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in third-party data.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaxedFairly's total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees you have paid us. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed appeal deadlines if you fail to provide requested information in a timely manner.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.
